What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be
Perform welding activities (hand welding) with minimum instruction and supervision,
Must be self motivated.
Ability to read blueprints and BOM’s
Ability to judge the type and gauge of steel to be welded, making proper heat adjustments as required on large thickness variations.
Willing to perform mass spec and visual inspections meeting stringent visual requirements.
Position welded metal parts on fixtures; attaching jigs and clamps as needed to hold metal parts in proper position for welding.
Utilize material handling equipment in conjunction with welding tasks.
Maintain required production records for jigs, fixtures, and machines.
Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.
Utilize chemical solutions to clean containers.
Comply with all hazardous waste regulations.
Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Your Professional Experience Should Be
Qualified Tig Welder
Must be an excellent hand welder
Must have a good attendance and safety record.
Your Education Should Be
High School Graduate or GED
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit.
The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color evaluations, and the ability to adjust focus.
