What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be

  • Perform welding activities (hand welding) with minimum instruction and supervision,

  • Must be self motivated.

  • Ability to read blueprints and BOM’s

  • Ability to judge the type and gauge of steel to be welded, making proper heat adjustments as required on large thickness variations.

  • Willing to perform mass spec and visual inspections meeting stringent visual requirements.

  • Position welded metal parts on fixtures; attaching jigs and clamps as needed to hold metal parts in proper position for welding.

  • Utilize material handling equipment in conjunction with welding tasks.

  • Maintain required production records for jigs, fixtures, and machines.

  • Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.

  • Utilize chemical solutions to clean containers.

  • Comply with all hazardous waste regulations.

  • Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.


Your Professional Experience Should Be

  • Qualified Tig Welder

  • Must be an excellent hand welder

  • Must have a good attendance and safety record.


Your Education Should Be

  • High School Graduate or GED


Your Physical Work Environment Will Require

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit.

  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.

  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color evaluations, and the ability to adjust focus.
