P & ID Technician
The P & ID Technician works in an industrial chemical processing setting maintaining current piping and instrument design drawings and creating new P & ID’s. The P & ID Technician works directly with the Engineering Services (ESD) Engineer and ESD Leader as well as plant operations. Associate interfaces and works effectively with maintenance personnel and other cross-functional departments including but not limited to; Operations, Health / Safety /Environmental, Engineering, and supply chain personnel. Employees must exercise principles of safety, environmental management, quality management, and good housekeeping in all aspects of the job and must inform supervision of any unsafe practices or conditions. The typical work hours will be Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM.
Generate piping drawings from vendor drawings, flow diagrams. Engineering red and green line mark-up and P&ID’s.utilizing AutoCAD.
Check current drawings for accuracy and create new drawings by walking down as built-piping and equipment installed in the plant.
Generate and modify piping isometric drawings of pressure relief systems.
Modify other engineering drawings in AutoCad as directed by ESD or operational department personnel.
Communicate with Department Manager, Project Managers, and engineers to gather information required to complete the P &ID documentation.
Read and understand specification for projects and provide all necessary drawings.
Follow directions and company standards and procedures.
Clarify any field issues that may come up pertaining to the drawings and design.

Proficient in AutoCAD.
Experience in piping design in heavy industrial & chemical facilities.
Must be familiar with all piping codes and construction techniques
Ability to access all areas of the facility and to work on elevated platforms
