Hire Dynamics is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an Maintenance Mechanic job in York, SC. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will inspect, test, adjust, maintain, and repair all electronic, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment. Test equipment and instruments, wiring diagrams and drawings, blue prints and sketches, and electrical tools. Calibrate and test equipment, assorted hand tools, power tools, and all shop equipment.
Responsibilities for an Maintenance Mechanic job include:
Receive wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications and instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation and inspection work to be done.
Analyze all types of circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings as required to maintain and repair all electronic equipment.
Determine materials or replacement needs and select a logical approach to "troubleshooting" and repair problems. Respond to production maintenance needs.
Assemble, inspect, adjust, repair, or replace faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic devices. Make mechanical and electrical repairs as required in connection with the servicing of electronic equipment.
Consider all safety precautions and proper isolations of circuits to cause a minimum of interference to operations. Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, wire specification codes, properties of various materials and principles of operation and application of equipment, etc.
Interpret drawing and sketches of hydraulic equipment. Plan details of working procedure and select materials in accordance with needs of work to be done.
Troubleshoot the electronic hydraulic systems and direct all repair work on the system.
Perform any mechanical or electrical repairs on machinery and equipment as needed and directed.
Handle and make provision for the handling of materials, equipment, and tools to and from the job site in the shop or plant.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Ability to use hand tools as needed.
Need to be able to read and understand documents such as procedure manuals, work Instructions, safety rules and department records.
Need to be able to kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl and lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to identify ad distinguish colors, see near and far and have peripheral vision.
Will take math and ruler reading assessment.
Must have hand tool experience in a production environment.
Ability to carry out verbal instructions and work in a team environment.
Ability to work overtime hours as needed
Humid, fumes/airborne particles, extreme heat, Loud and working near moving mechanical parts.
This position is full time hours:
2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10pm
3rd Shift 10:00pm - 6am
Hours may vary and overtime is mandatory
Salary: $19-$22 depending on experience
