Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist customers with customer service issues related to their natural gas account.* Resolves customer telephone inquires in such a manner to assure quality assurance standards are maintained.* Accurately notates customer accounts, according to established procedures.* Effectively follows standard customer service scripts and procedures.* Effectively offers value added products and services to customers.* Sells and up sells products and services to customers in an effective and professional manner.* Maintains and effectively communicates accurate and current knowledge of procedures, products, processes, etc.* Effectively assists customers with setting up new service and/or reconnection of service.* Maintains accurate knowledge of procedures, products, processes, etc.* Makes recommendations to management to improve current processes and procedures.* Keeps Supervisors and Manager informed on issues or immediate needs that may impact the department.EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: * High School Diploma* Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred * Minimum of one (1) year prior call center customer service experience and/or two (2) years in a customer service role * Strong computer skillsSKILLS AND ABILITIES * Strong interpersonal skills * Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette* Ability to answer caller questions and the ability to problem solve* Ability to sell products and/or services * Works well independently and in a team environment * Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills * Detailed oriented; ability to multi-task and possess analytical skills* Ability to navigate call center software, and enter appropriate information with speed and accuracy * Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute * Flexible with regards to work schedule (evenings and weekends maybe required) * Awareness and understanding of various Call Center related software
